AVIAGEN company visited DAMATÉ complex

On 21-22 of March DAMATÉ complex for production and processing of turkey meat was visited by the group of specialists from the word-leading company Aviagen (USA, Schotland) that specializes in poultry breeding and genetics. Director General of Aviegan Turkeys, Clay Barrows led the delegation.

The main aim of the visit was to learn the existing capacities of the largest in the country producer of turkey, to estimate potential capabilities of the company and discuss the possibility of construction of the Damate-based plant for breeding parent flocks of turkey.

During the stay the representatives of Aviagen visited the turkey brooding sites, saw around the poultry processing plant DAMATÉ and had a talk with the leading specialists of the company. The guests rated high the production organization of DAMATÉ Group, pointed out a high level of technical equipment and technological solutions. They paid special attention to learning about the system of biological safety implemented in the company.  

The guests were highly impressed by produced by DAMATÉ situation centre, which accumulates the company's operating data and production microclimate parameters as well as data from the observational satellite system GLONASS for complete control over company’s traffic. Here specialists control work of all the systems, carry out video surveillance of the facilities, monitor traffic, promptly respond to deviations from production figures and operation schedules as well as to emergency situations. Through the system of situation centre dispatching and a number of notification algorithms, relevant information is transmitted to heads of all departments in online mode for instant decision making

"The sphere of selection is a very specific one and requires skill and experience. Our main criteria are remote location from populated areas and livestock facilities as well as communications accessibility" ,  said Clay Barrows, the director general of Aviagen Turkeys. "We consider the Russian market to be the fast-growing and perspective and DAMATÉ Group, which works in the Penza land to be one of the top five world leading companies in chosen sphere", he added.  

Following the visit the governor of Penza region Ivan Belozertsev met with representatives of Aviagen and DAMATÉ. The governor reported about the region’s opportunities in the agrarian sector, about training of the professional staff as well as about the existing measures of the government’s support of business.

"As a governor of Penza region I see perspective of "Damate" that demonstrates successful results and keeps growing. I will be glad if you decide to start production in the Penza land. We support good investment projects, by means of engineering infrastructure for example. In association with you, "Damate" will develop even more effectively", said the governor of Penza region during the meeting.
