Damate became the only Russian exporter of turkey products to Saudi Arabia
Damate Group, the leading producer of turkey meat in Russia, has become the only Russian company to receive permission to export turkey meat products to Saudi Arabia. PenzaMolInvest LLC (a subsidiary of Damate engaged in turkey production and processing) is included in the list of approved Russian enterprises for the export of poultry meat and its processed products to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The list is published on the website of Saudy Food and Drug Authority KSA (SFDA).
Permission was preceded by lengthy work. In 2018, Damate filed a request with the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Monitoring for the right to export turkey products to KSA. In February 2020, SFDA specialists conducted an audit at a turkey slaughter and processing plant.
During the audit, the experts familiarized themselves with the technological processes and the work of the enterprise, as well as checked the documentation for compliance with all SFDA requirements. The inspectors highly appreciated the system for monitoring of safety and quality of products operating at the poultry processing plant Damate and made a number of recommendations for improving production processes. Based on recommendations, turkey production was adjusted accordingly.
It should be reminded, that Damate has begun to develop its export direction in 2015. The company has permits for the supply of turkey meat products to the countries of the European Union, the Eurasian Economic Union, and other 24 countries, including the countries of the Persian Gulf, Africa and Asia.
