Damate Group imported the first batch of day old ducklings with total amount of 32.5 thousand heads to the rearing site in Rostov region. Day old young Peking ducks get in the poultry houses from the incubator as part of a project to restart high-tech industrial production of duck in the region.

Damate brought the first batch of day old ducklings in a number of 32.5 thousand heads to the breeding site located in the Millerovo district of Rostov region. On November 2, day-old ducks entered the poultry houses from a hatchery located 20 km from the site. The next withdrawal is scheduled for November 9th.

The formation of poultry houses with livestock is carried out within the framework of a project to restart high-tech industrial production of duck in the region at a higher quality level. The project is being implemented by Damate with financial support of Rosselkhozbank JSC.

To form the livestock Damate grows poultry of a highly productive cross of the white Peking duck Cherry Valley, bred by British specialists. The first egg was imported to the company's incubator from the Czech Republic in October. The delivery has been carried out weekly; by the end of the year, more than 550 thousand eggs will be delivered for incubation.

After hatching, the ducklings are selected, sorted and delivered by specialized transport to the rearing poultry houses. The rearing period is 42 days.

“We are convinced that projects of such a high level can be implemented only as a result of close cooperation between business, the regional government and the bank. This approach makes it possible to solve the most difficult tasks in a working order and systematically go to the desired result, - said General Director of Damate, Rashid Khairov, - The primary task for us today is to revive the pant. When restoring capacity, the most important thing is the production process to meet all requirements, from biological safety issues to strict adherence to technology."

Before stocking, each poultry house was checked by specialists from the Veterinary Department of Rostov region. They examined the veterinary and sanitary conditions of the facilities, the presence of disinfection of the adjacent territory and transport. In addition, the veterinary laboratory of the department checked the quality of the water and the buildings disinfection. Based on the results of the survey, the veterinary department issued a conclusion that the facilities are completely ready for stocking of day-old ducks.

“For the Don agro-industrial complex and the economy of Rostov region as a whole, the most important step is undoubtedly the restart of the enterprises for the production of turkey and duck by Damate,” noted the first deputy governor of Rostov region, Viktor Goncharov. - In August 2020, the first batches of young production turkeys were brought to the poultry houses. Now we see that Damate Group continues to put production capacities into circulation and the restoration of duck meat production is already beginning. All this gives grounds that the next, 2021, will be a turning point and, as Governor of Rostov region, Vasily Golubev noted earlier, it will restore its positions in the production of poultry meat."

In May, 2020 Damate Group and Rosselkhozbank JSC signed an agreement on a concession of the rights of requirements for obligations of Donstar LLC, which owns the largest complex in Russia for the industrial production of duck meat with a capacity of 16.5 thousand tons in slaughter weight per year. New Duck Farms LLC (part of Damate Group) became the new creditor.
