Damate Group has completed the supply of turkey to the first rearing site. The site put into operation in Rostov region. By the end of the year, the company will send from Rostov sites about 3 thousand tons of turkey for slaughter and processing.

Damate Group, the largest turkey producer in Russia, brought daily turkey poults to the rearing site in the Krasnosulinsky district of Rostov region. The first site includes 8 poultry houses. To date, 200 thousand heads of poultry have been brought to it.

On August 25, as part of a working visit, the site was attended by the Governor of Rostov region Vasily Golubev. Together with the co-founders of Damate, Naum Babayev and Rashid Khairov, he inspected the site's facilities, got acquainted with the principles of operation and discussed further plans to restore turkey production in the region.

The site in the Krasnosulinsky district was the first to be commissioned as part of a turkey production project in Rostov region. It turned out to be the best preserved and required minimal preparation before supply of birds. Delivery of daily turkeys of the BIG-6 cross was organized in several stages; the bird was imported from Germany.

After 42 days of rearing, turkey will be delivered to the fattening sites. Currently, specialists are conducting preparatory work on 16 fattening poultry houses, which will be launched in the near future. By the end of the year, about 3 thousand tons of turkey will be sent from Rostov sites for slaughter and processing.

By the end of the year, the company plans to additionally commission 2 rearing sites and 6 fattening sites in the region.

The rearing site was launched as part of a project to restart turkey production facilities in Rostov region. Damate leased from Rosselkhozbank JSC the property complex, formerly owned by Evrodon LLC. Currently, the company conducts technological audits and organizes measures to eliminate production risks. Much attention is paid to the issues of biological safety of facilities, which is of particular importance when restoring capacity and further production of turkey meat.

"Restoring poultry meat production in Rostov region is a fundamental task. Crucial in its implementation is the restart of the production sites of Eurodon and Donstar. Together with the Russian Ministry of agriculture and in partnership with Rosselkhozbank, we have outlined and implemented a number of measures. As a result, a strategic investor appeared – the company Damate. I hope that the partnership with Damate will bring the expected result and we will be able to level the situation in poultry production next year," said Vasily Golubev, Governor of the Rostov region.

"We plan to focus on improving biological safety at the facilities of the complex, which is the basis of any livestock business. The company continues its technological audit, but it is already clear that we will have to review a number of existing design solutions, purchase the necessary equipment and implement modern poultry technologies that we have already tested at our facilities in other regions, and which are already showing good results," said Rashid Khairov, co- founder of Damate Group.
