Damate has completed the harvesting campaign in Penza region. The harvest was collected from a total area of more than 22 thousand hectares, the gross harvest of agricultural crops amounted to more than 73 thousand tons.
Damate Group, the largest turkey producer in Russia, has completed the harvesting campaign in Penza region. The company has harvested crops in all regions of its presence from a total area of more than 22 thousand hectares.
The total area of spring and winter crops this year is 11.7 thousand hectares, of which spring wheat - 6.7 thousand hectares, winter wheat - 5 thousand hectares. In addition, the company's specialists removed sunflower seeds from 8.1 thousand hectares, and also carried out work on harvesting of 1.9 thousand hectares of millet, peas on an area of 310 hectares and 137 hectares of corn.
The gross harvest of agricultural crops amounted to more than 73 thousand tons. Of these, 22 thousand tons of winter and more than 26 thousand tons of spring wheat, almost 18 thousand tons of sunflower, among the rest of the harvested crops - millet, corn and peas.
All harvesting work, which began at the end of July, was completed as scheduled. To this end, more than 60 people were involved in the harvesting campaign, more than 20 combines and 50 vehicles were working on the company's fields.
The largest volume of seasonal work this year fell on the Nizhnelomov district, where the company harvested the area of 7.3 thousand hectares. More than 5.8 thousand hectares of Damate’s fields have been harvested in Mokshan region, and 2.6 thousand hectares in Narovchat region. In the Kolyshley district, harvesting works were carried out on an area of more than 2.3 thousand hectares. In the Vadinsk and Spassk districts, agricultural crops have been harvested on 2.0 thousand hectares of arable land and 1.9 thousand hectares, respectively.
Let us remind that, Damate Group is completing a project for turkey growing and processing with a capacity of 155 thousand tons per year in Penza region. Today, the land bank of the company in Penza region is 49.5 thousand hectares in seven regions of presence. The availability of modern equipment, the use of advanced technologies and its own land bank allows Damate to almost completely provide poultry with its own feed.
