Damate is in the list of the largest meat producers in the Russian Federation
Damate Group took the 15th place in the rating of the largest meat producers in Russia according to the magazine Agroinvestor. Over the past five years, Damate has increased its turkey production by 3.8 times: from 34.7 thousand tons in 2015 up to 131 thousand according to the results of last year.
At the end of 2019, Damate moved 5 points higher, from the 20th to the 15th place. The company produced 42.7 thousand tons or 48% more meat compared to 2018. Today Damate occupies 45.5% of the Russian turkey market.
The increase in production in 2019 is associated with the implementation of a project for expansion of the existing facilities for turkey production and processing up to 155 thousand tons per year, which is planned to be completed in 2020. The project is in its final stage, most of the facilities have been launched. So, in 2019, the largest poultry processing plant in Europe was commissioned, additional sites for turkey growing and fattening are being built, the incubation capacity has been increased, storage and feed production capacities have been expanded, new lands are put into circulation and agricultural equipment is purchased.
The magazine Agroinvestor has been publishing an annual rating of the top 25 Russian manufacturers since 2015. To compile the rating, the companies' production volumes are taken as a basis.
