Damate Group, the largest producer of turkey meat in Russia, completed the modernization of the hatchery in the Kolyshley district of Penza region, which had begun in September 2019. The facility was put into operation in accordance with the planned terms.

As a result of the reconstruction, the production capacity of the incubator has been increased by 3.8 times - from 1.8 up to 7 million eggs per year with the possibility of further expansion up to 14 million. Thus, the total incubation capacity of Damate is actually expanded up to 24.2 million eggs per year, which completely covers the company's needs for day-old young poults.

Investment in the reconstruction of the facility amounted to 504 million rubles.

Within the framework of the project, the equipment of PETERSIME company was completely renewed and installed; the area of the hatchery was significantly expanded. All processes are automated as much as possible, human intervention is minimized for biosafety purposes. As a result of the reconstruction, 30 new jobs have been created.

The first laying of hatching eggs in the updated incubator took place at the end of June 2020. The supplier of 38 thousand eggs was the Russian company Aviagen, located in the Nikolsk district of Penza region. The partner supplies to Damate hatching eggs of the BIG-6 cross - a reference breed for turkey production.

The first batch of hatching eggs is scheduled by DAMATE specialists on July 20, 2020. Then the day old poults will be delivered by the company's special vehicles from the hatchery to the rearing poultry houses in Mokshansk region, where the young flock will be kept in rearing houses. The number of poultry in each poultry house is 33 thousand heads. All life support processes at poultry facilities are automated: feeding, watering, vaccination, ventilation, climate control.

It should be reminded that the complex for the production of turkey meat of Damate Group has a vertically integrated structure with a full production cycle, where incubation is the first stage of the turkey growing process. The hatchery in the Kolyshley district had been built in 2012 and became one of the first Damate facilities commissioned in Penza region. The second incubator with a capacity of 17.2 million eggs per year is located in the Nizhnelomov district of Penza region.
