Damate is the largest exporter of turkey to China in the first half of 2024
Damate Group became the largest exporter of turkey to China in the first half of 2024. Damate sent about 5,000 tons of products to China, which is 74% of the total supply volume. According to the data of the General Customs Administration of the People's Republic of China, over 6 months China imported more than 6.8 thousand tons of turkey meat, the entire volume of supplies was carried out from Russia.
The main volume of products — about 4 thousand tons or 80% of the total supply volume, was shipped from Penza region, another 1 thousand tons were shipped from Rostov region.
"China is a key market for Damate Group. We were among the first companies in Russia to receive an export permit to this country and began supplying turkey meat. Today, the Chinese market is demonstrating stable and growing demand for this type of product, and for our part we have all the possibilities to meet the demand from Chinese partners," said Daria Laschenko, Deputy General Director for Marketing and Sales at Damate.
Damate has been exporting turkey to China since 2019. At first, the products were supplied only from the turkey production complex in Penza region, but at the end of 2023, deliveries were implemented from the Damate turkey breeding complex in Rostov region. The start of deliveries from Rostov region allowed the company to expand cooperation with Chinese partners.
It should be recalled that Damate opened an export business in 2015. To date, Damate enterprises have permits to supply products to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and 34 other countries around the world.
