Damate Group announces that it has reached agreements with the State of Qatar on the export of its products. On the eve of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the company signed a protocol of intent in the field of food supplies with the leading food holding and Qatar's investor Hassad Food (part of the Qatar sovereign wealth Fund Qatar Investment Authority, QIA). By the end of 2021, Damate plans to export products totaling 1 million US dollars to this country.

Mutton has historically been considered a highly demanded type of meat among the well-off segments of the population. Qatar, as a country that occupies the first place in the ranking of countries by purchasing power parity, is of particular interest to Damate, especially in terms of sales of products with high added value. Damate plans to supply products from lamb, turkey, duck meat, as well as products of deep processing. The main part will be products under the Salima brand.

Hassad Food will become the exclusive importer of Damate products in Qatar through its own Widam Food division and will ensure its further distribution throughout the state through the main sales channels, including the restaurant business and chain retail.

"Qatar, as one of the leading countries in the Middle East region and a consumer of halal products, is an important partner for Damate," said Rashid Khairov, General Director of Damate," By ensuring stable supplies of various types of meat to the Qatari market, we guarantee not only their impeccable quality and taste, which are the basis of our strategy on the international market, but also full compliance with the requirements of halal, confirmed by relevant certificates."

Damate will ship products to Qatar on a monthly basis in the amount of at least 200 tons.   The first delivery is scheduled for the summer of 2021. Currently, negotiations are underway on its assortment.

Damate started exporting products in the fall of 2015. Today, the group's enterprises have permits to supply products to the countries of the European Union, the Eurasian Economic Union and 33 other countries, including China, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and other countries in Africa and Asia.
