Damate entered the top 10 of Russia's largest meat producers
Damate Group was included in the list of the largest meat producers in Russia according to the results of 2023. According to the annual rating, compiled by the publication Agroinvestor, the company took the 10th place with a production volume of more than 253 thousand tons in slaughter weight. Damate produces exclusively niche types of meat - turkey, duck and lamb - and holds leading positions in each segment.
Turkey has become the growth driver of the company's portfolio. In 2023, Damate increased turkey meat production by 10% up to 237 thousand tons.
The positive dynamics of production growth is due to the systematic implementation of the company's turkey breeding projects in Penza and Rostov regions, as well as the launch of a breeding breeder for the production of hatching eggs in Tyumen region.
At the end of 2023, the company also produced more than 3 thousand tons of lamb. The products are produced at the country's largest lamb processing plant in Karachay-Cherkessia, designed to produce up to 25 thousand tons of products per year. The project also includes: a service company for farmers, breeding and fattening sites, breeding and genetic center.
Last year Damate produced about 13.7 thousand tons of duck meat: according to “Rosptitsesoyuz”, this is 45% of the Russian market for this type of meat.

The company's plans for 2024 are to continue their implementation and ensure the stable operation of enterprises. We plan to strengthen our position as a leader in each of the niche meat categories. Among the operational tasks are expanding the geography of sales and assortment, maintaining high quality products, increasing the production of turkey, duck, and lamb meat, including for the development of export supplies,» commented Andrey Sedov, CEO of Damate Group.
