Damate Group, Russia's leading duck producer, increased its output 19% year-on-year to 8.2 thousand tonnes at the end of the first six months of 2024. The positive dynamics of production growth is due to the systematic implementation of the company's poultry farming project in Rostov region.

"Today, the duck production complex is fully utilized, the parent flock provides the complex with hatching eggs, all poultry breeding sites are working, Ozerka branded products from the processing plant are sent daily to the customer," - said General Director of Damate Andrey Sedov, - "Our plans are to ensure further stable operation of the enterprise and strengthen the company's position as a leader in the duck meat market."

Damate began duck production in 2020. In the shortest possible time, the entire production cycle of the enterprise was restored: from incubation to processing of duck meat. Thanks to the restart of production, more than 900 jobs were created in the region.

"Poultry enterprises producing turkey and duck meat are systematically developing in accordance with the commitments undertaken by Damate Group," commented Konstantin Rachalovsky, Deputy Governor of Rostov region and Minister of Agriculture and Food. - "This contributes to the development of the industry as a whole. Thus, for seven months the volume of live weight meat production in the Don has increased by 5.5%. The main growth was provided by large enterprises, which account for almost 60% of the total volume. Their production indicators increased by 12.4% compared to the same period last year’.

Today, products made from Rostov duck are sold in federal and local chains, retail and HoReCa channels across the country, and are also exported. In early 2024, Damate became the first company in Russia to export duck to China.

In September 2024, the company won a tender to acquire the property complex of Donstar LLC. In the near future, Damate plans to finalize all legal procedures for registration.
