Damate increased its production of deep processed turkey products 26% year-on-year in the first half of 2024.

Europe's largest turkey deep processing plant Damate, located in Penza region, produced about 13 thousand tonnes of products in the first six months of 2024. This is 26% more than in the same period last year. The main increase in production is due to the increase in demand and, accordingly, sales. The Company is constantly working to expand its product range and distribution channels.

The leading products in terms of production volumes are Indilight branded sausages, bologna-type sausages, grilled delicacies and hams made of 100% turkey meat.

"The need to increase the output of ready-to-eat products is due to their high popularity among consumers. Deep processed turkey products are high in protein and low in fat, have unique flavour characteristics, and are ideal for both the main home menu and for snacking. Deep processed turkey products are sold in federal and local chains, retail and HoReCa channels across the country, and are also exported," said Andrey Sedov, General Director of Damate Group.

Sausages and bologna-type sausages took the first position in terms of production volumes - over 6 thousand tonnes. Bologna-type sausage products are traditionally popular among Russians. In this regard, bologna-type sausages and turkey sausages, which are characterized by high protein content and low fat content, are in demand on the market.

Ham and grilled delicacies made of 100 per cent turkey fillet were in great demand. Almost 5 thousand tonnes of these products were shipped to consumers in the first half of the year. Hams are produced in a separate shop with a capacity of 87 tonnes per day. Russia's first ham roasting line with subsequent slicing, a unique robotic cooking and cooling line and other advanced automation solutions have been installed here. Ham and grilled turkey delicacies are distinguished by their refined flavour and low calorie content, which is why they are chosen not only by traditional consumers of this product category, but also by adherents of a healthy lifestyle. For example, 100 grams of grilled turkey breast fillet contains only 95 kcal: more than 15 grams of protein and only 2 grams of fat.

In the first half of the year Damate significantly increased the output of dry-cured delicacies and plans to increase production rates in the future. The range of products is represented by Sabroso line, which is made using a unique Spanish technology from whole turkey thigh fillet combined with a carefully selected bouquet of aromatic seasonings and spices.

It should be reminded that the turkey deep processing plant uses advanced solutions in the field of deep processing, automated production lines, more than 500 units of equipment from leading world manufacturers. The plant includes 5 shops: production of ham products, production of bologna-type sausages, production of dry-cured sausages, ready-to-cook semi-finished products and one of the main advantages of the plant is a robotic warehouse of products.
