Damate Group, the Russian leader in turkey production, increased its output by 9% up to 126 thousand tons compared to the same period last year. Turkey products are produced at Damate plants in Penza and Rostov regions.

"The positive dynamics of production growth is due to the systematic implementation of Damate poultry projects in Penza and Rostov regions, as well as the launch of a breeding reproducer for turkey hatching egg production in Tyumen region. The company plans to continue implementing projects in three regions by the end of 2024 and ensure stable operation of enterprises with a further increase in turkey meat production," said Andrey Sedov, CEO of the Damate Group.

The largest contribution to the increase in the company's turkey production indicators was made by the Damate turkey breeding complex in Rostov region. 31 thousand tons of turkey meat were produced here in the first half of 2024, which is 37% higher than for the same period last year. Significant growth was made thanks to the launch of the fifth block of 40 poultry houses and an increase in the number of commercial poultry flocks. The capacity of the commercial poultry farming unit is more than one million poultry heads per year.

The complex in Penza region has been systematically increasing its output. A steady increase in turkey production by 2% up to 95 thousand tons is the result of the implementation of the project on expansion of capacity up to 264 thousand tons of products per year.

Damate will additionally invest more than 16.5 billion rubles in expanding the turkey production project in Penza region and increase existing production capacities by 27% – from 207 up to 264 thousand tons of turkey per year. The corresponding agreement was signed between Damate and the Government of the Penza Region at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The increase in the volume of meat processing will occur due to the construction of five poultry farming units in the region, consisting of poultry houses for rearing and fattening turkeys.

Currently, the company is completing the construction of the first stage of two new poultry farming units in the village of Bolshaya Elan, Penza region, consisting of a total of 64 poultry houses with a total number of seats of about 900 thousand heads.

It is important to note that the company's output to full self-sufficiency in Russian turkey incubation eggs and the refusal of foreign supplies also had a positive effect on production indicators. Damate is the only turkey producer in Russia with its own industrial parent herd. Self-sufficiency became possible after the launch of the country's largest breeding turkey reproducer of the second order with a capacity of 12 million eggs per year in Tyumen region.

It should be recalled that today semi-finished meat products and deep-processed Indilight and Only branded products are sold in federal and local retail and chain stores and the HoReCa channel throughout the country, and are also exported.
