Damate has begun exporting turkey products to Georgia. The company plans to supply a wide range of Indilight branded products on a monthly basis.

Damate Group, the leading turkey producer in Russia, has begun exporting turkey products to Georgia on a monthly basis. The first batch of products has already been shipped to customers in September.

The bulk of the first shipment consisted of deep processed turkey products produced at the company's plant in Penza region. These are more than 15 types of Indilight branded sausages, hams and sausages. The company plans to expand the range of supplies by introducing a wider range of products to the market.

Long preparatory work preceded the start of shipments. Damate specialists thoroughly studied the Georgian market, concluded agreements with reliable partners and negotiated the technical aspects of cargo dispatch in detail.

Entering the Georgian market is an important step in the development of the company's export business. Despite the fact that the food market of Georgia is objectively considered developed, the niche of turkey meat products remains practically unoccupied.

"At the moment we observe a market shift in Georgia towards products for healthy nutrition. Demand is increasingly beginning to be created by preferences imposed by the desire to lead an active and healthy lifestyle. We, in turn, have high hopes for supplies to Georgia. Our successful experience in foreign markets, including in Georgia's neighboring countries, gives us reason to expect that Indilight products will soon be appreciated by Georgian consumers and become a healthy habit," said Daria Lashchenko, Deputy General Director for Marketing and Sales at Damate.

It should be reminded that Damate has been exporting turkey products since 2015. As of today, Damate enterprises have permits to supply products to the Eurasian Economic Union and 34 other countries around the world. Over 6 months, the company exported about 12, 000 tonnes of turkey, duck and lamb meat products, which is 21% more than in the same period last year.
