Damate has begun shipping turkey sausages to West Africa. The first shipments of more than 100 tons have been shipped to Benin, Liberia and Ghana.

Damate continues to develop the export of deep processing products from turkey. The company has begun supplying sausages to West African countries, the first shipments of more than 100 tons of products have been shipped to Benin, Liberia and Ghana.

The main volume of supplies was made from turkey meat sausages, which are in demand among the local population. All Damate products are sold under the Salima brand, specially created for export purposes.

Until now, Damate has supplied only frozen turkey meat to the African continent. For 6 months of 2021, more than 3.5 thousand tons were shipped to this region in the amount of half a billion rubles in dollar terms.

The export of new high-margin products to West Africa became possible thanks to the launch of Europe's largest turkey processing plant with a capacity of 303 tons, located in Penza region. Immediately after its official opening, the company submitted applications and received export permits.

“Deeply processed turkey products are a unique selling proposition for West African countries. Turkey is in great demand among buyers in this region, but sausages from this type of meat have not yet been on the shelves. We highly appreciate the potential of this market and continue to work towards expanding supplies both in terms of geography and volumes, and in terms of assortment,” said Rashid Khairov, General Director of Damate.

Damate plans to cover Subequatorial Africa with supplies, as well as the northern part of the continent. To date, work is underway to obtain the appropriate permits.

Damate has been exporting products since 2015 and continues to successfully implement the company's export strategy. Damate enterprises already have permits to supply products to the countries of the European Union, the Eurasian Economic Union and 31 other countries of the world, including China, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and other countries in Africa and Asia.
