Damate Group began supplying turkey to the countries of East Africa. The first delivery country was Mozambique. A shipment of 27 tones of turkey meat was shipped to customers last week.

The first scope of supply is similar to the product range shipped on a regular basis to the countries of West Africa. Its main part is frozen natural semi-finished turkey products. In the near future, Damate plans to expand its range of supplies to East Africa through deep processing products, which are already actively supplied to the western part of the continent.

The strategy for the development of supplies to the countries of East Africa is being implemented by Damate Group in accordance with the task set by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia during the Gulfood exhibition in 2020. For 9 months of 2021, Damate exported 3.5 times more products to Africa compared to 2020.

“Export permit the east coast of Africa is the result of the systematic implementation of a strategy aimed at developing cooperation with African countries and organizing regular supplies of turkey meat to this region. Due to the convenience of logistics, the western coast was mastered by Damate in the first place. But the entire continent as a whole plays a significant role in Damate's export strategy. Ultimately, the company's goal is to cover the entire African region, ensuring a stable supply of high quality turkey products”, said Rashid Khairov, General Director of Damate Group.

Damate started exporting turkey meat products in 2015. Today the enterprises of the holding have export permits to more than 60 countries. These are the states of the European Union, the Eurasian Economic Union and 33 other countries of the world, including China, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, countries of Africa and Asia.

The export turnover of Damate Group for 10 months of 2021 will exceed 1.5 billion rubles. The positive dynamics is due to the systematic work of the company to develop the export direction, expand the geography of supplies and develop the range of branded products supplied abroad.
