For the sixth time Damate topped the list of Russia's largest turkey producers

Based on the results of 2023, Damate Group topped the list of the largest turkey producers. According to the annual rating of producers, compiled by AgrifoodStrategies agency and the National Association of Turkey Producers (NATP), the company for the sixth time in a row confirmed the status of the leader in turkey meat production in Russia.
According to the agency, in 2023 Damate increased its market share from 52% to 55.5% and added 11% of the volume by improving production efficiency and increasing industrial capacity to almost 238 thousand tons.
Turkey meat production in the Russian Federation in 2023 increased by 1.8% compared to 2022 rose from 414.5 thousand to 422 thousand tons. According to the rating, at the end of the year, the combined market share of the top 5 Russian turkey producers amounted to 83.5%.
The positive dynamics of Damate's production growth is due to the systematic implementation of the company's poultry farming projects in Penza and Rostov regions, as well as the launch of the turkey hatching egg breeder in Tyumen region.
The stable growth of turkey production at the complex in Penza region is the result of the project on capacity expansion up to 207 thousand tons per year. In Rostov region, the growth in turkey production is due to the development of the region's largest turkey breeding complex with a capacity of 85 thousand tons of meat per year.
It is important to note that last year's operating data was favorably affected by the company's entry into full self-sufficiency with Russian turkey incubation eggs and the refusal of foreign supplies.
The company's plans for 2024 include continuing the implementation of the projects in three regions and ensuring stable operation of enterprises with further increase in turkey meat production.
