Damate Group received permission for export of lamb products to Saudi Arabia. Kavkaz-Myaso LLC (a division of Damate engaged in the production and processing of lamb) is included in the list of approved Russian enterprises for the export of lamb meat and offals to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The list is published on the website of the Food and Drug Administration of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (SFDA).

Before obtaining the permit specialists from the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Service (Rosselkhoznadzor) conducted an audit. Rosselkhoznadzor specialists inspected production facilities, studied technological processes and the enterprise performance, checked the compliance of the documentation with all the requirements of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Based on the audit, Rosselkhoznadzor sent appropriate guarantees to the SFDA, which were approved.

At present, Kavkaz-Myaso LLC is working on certification of the enterprise according to the Halal requirements established by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). After receiving the Halal certification, Damate will be able to supply mutton to the KSA market.

It should be reminded that Damate Group opened a new direction of business and started implementing a project for the production of mutton at the end of 2018 in the North Caucasus Federal District. The project includes breeding and feedlot areas, a meat processing plant and a service company.

In the spring of 2020, Damate acquired 100% stake in the authorized capital of Kavkaz-Myaso LLC, which is the current owner of the property complex of the Circassian meat processing plant. The company has already started modernization of the enterprise. As a result of full commissioning, the plant's capacity will be 12.6 thousand tons of products per year. The plant will produce natural semi-finished products from mutton meat, cutlets, kupaty and canned products. The products will be Halal and Kosher certified.

Damate began to develop export direction in early 2015. The company has permits to supply turkey meat products to the countries of the European Union, the Eurasian Economic Union and 26 other countries of the world, including China, the UAE, and African countries. In April 2020, Damate became the only Russian exporter of turkey to Saudi Arabia.
