Damate started supplying lamb to Saudi Arabia
Damate has started exporting lamb products. The first batch of chilled lamb was sent by air to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Damate Group, which is implementing a lamb production project in the North Caucasus Federal District, has started supplying lamb products abroad. The first batch of chilled products was sent to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Damate exported chilled lamb meat; the delivery was carried out by specialized air transport, which allowed maintaining the high quality of products. Air transportation ensures quick delivery and provides the necessary temperature regime to preserve the freshness and health benefits of meat, without resorting to freezing.
A great amount of work had been done before the start of shipments to the largest market in the Middle East. The company successfully passed the audit of relevant agencies, confirming the compliance of enterprises with the high requirements of the Kingdom. At the first stage, the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (RFSVP) checked the lamb slaughter and processing plant and included it in the register of approved ones, after which Damate successfully passed the audit of the Saudi Food and Drug Administration (SFDA). An important stage was obtaining of a Halal certificate, which grants the right to export to the KSA.
The company plans to expand the geography of lamb supplies to all countries of the Persian Gulf and increase the range of exported products.
Damate launched an export direction in 2015. The company exported a range of turkey meat products, and in 2021 started shipping turkey sausage products, as well as duck meat products. The Salima brand was created especially for export purposes. To date, Damate enterprises have permits to supply products to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and to 33 other countries of the world.
During 12 months of 2022, the export turnover of Damate Group exceeded 3.7 billion rubles, which is 60% more than a year earlier. The positive dynamics of export indicators is the result of active work on the development of the export direction.
