Damate Group has started to supply halal turkey products abroad under the Salima brand, specially created for export purposes. The first shipments have already been made to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Abkhazia, and shipments to the trade networks of Azerbaijan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will begin in the near future. In 2021, Damate plans to expand the geography of halal products supplies by virtue of non-CIS countries. Currently, applications are being reviewed and negotiations with customers are underway.

Damate supplies abroad halal turkey products produced at the slaughter and processing plant and the deep processing plant. Both companies are located in Penza region. All products are sent in thermoformed trays. The range includes anatomical cuts from turkey parts and, importantly, deep processing products with high margins.

"Damate started exporting halal products due to the high demand in the market and its further growth, as the number of consumers of halal food products continues to increase. In addition, halal is gaining popularity among consumers not only in Muslim countries, but also becomes synonymous with healthy lifestyle due to its composition and production technologies. All this gives us the opportunity to develop this area further," said Rashid Khairov, CEO of Damate.

The start of deliveries was preceded by serious preparation for obtaining the necessary permits and certification of products. The company's enterprises were visited by groups of experts and veterinarians, as well as representatives of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of the Russian Federation. The specialists checked the documentation and studied in detail the production process of turkey meat at all stages.

An important advantage of Damate is the presence of Halal certificate of the International Center for Standardization and Certification of Halal of the Council of Muftis of Russia, which the company confirms annually. In addition, the company's enterprises have successfully passed the phytosanitary and halal audit of the Saudi Halal Certification Center and have a permit to export products to the Persian Gulf countries issued by Gulftic-ICSC.

Damate began to ship turkey meat for export in the fall of 2015. Today, Damate enterprises have permits to supply products to the countries of the European Union, the Eurasian Economic Union and 33 other countries, including China, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Africa and Asia.
