Damate started turkey deliveries to Saudi Arabia
Damate Group began supplying turkey products to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The first container arrived in the Kingdom this week, with a leading turkey processing company as its buyer.
The first export consignment allowed Damate to open a new direction for the supply of raw materials to the main processing channel for Saudi Arabia. By the end of this year, the company plans to increase the number of processing buyers in the region and export more than 500 tons of turkey meat.
In addition, in the near future Damate plans to start cooperating with distributor companies KSA. This will allow starting the export of high-margin branded products under the specially created halal brand Salima to the organized retail channels and HoReCa.
“For us as a turkey producer, the access to the largest market in the Middle East is an important step in the development of Damate's export business. At the same time, the start of cooperation is also important for the processing companies of Saudi Arabia, because we produce turkey of consistently high quality in large volumes, observing all the requirements of the destination country. Damate has already shown itself to be a reliable partner for buyers from all over the world, and we are confident that Saudi Arabia will become an important part of our export strategy”, said Rashid Khairov, General Director of Damate.
First deliveries was preceded by a lot of work. The company became the first turkey producer in Russia to receive a Halal certificate, which grants the right to export to the KSA. In addition, the company has successfully passed the audit of relevant departments, confirming the compliance of enterprises with the high requirements of the Kingdom.
Damate started exporting turkey products in 2015. To date, Damate enterprises have permits to supply products to more than 60 countries. These are the states of the European Union, the Eurasian Economic Union and 33 other countries of the world, including China, the UAE, Kuwait, African and Asian countries.
The export turnover of Damate Group for 10 months of 2021 exceeded 1.5 billion rubles. The positive dynamics is due to the systematic work of the company on the development of the export direction, the expansion of the geography of supplies and the development of the range of branded products supplied abroad.
