Damate Group took part in a videoconference with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which the country's largest second order turkey breeding reproducer with a capacity of 12 million eggs per year in Isetsk district of Tyumen region was launched.

A foundation stone was laid in September last year. The construction was carried out in the shortest possible time; the reproducer was put into operation.

Investments in the project amounted to 6.1 billion rubles, the financial partner is the Russian Agricultural Bank, Rosselkhozbank JSC.

The solemn launch of the reproducer took place on November 21 via videoconference with a direct participation of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The meeting was also attended by Vladimir Yakushev, Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Urals Federal District, Dmitry Patrushev, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Alexander Moore, Tyumen Region Governor, Naum Babayev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Damate, Rashid Khairov, co-founder and CEO of Damate, and employees of the enterprise.

The launch of the reproducer on the territory of Russia will reduce dependence on the import of turkey genetic material and will improve the quality indicators of the turkey incubation egg by optimizing logistics: the egg will be transported over shorter distances, thus eliminating the number of losses during delivery and giving greater hatchability of chicks.

A breeding reproducer of the second order is an enterprise with a parent herd of 138 thousand turkeys to produce eggs of highly productive crosses. The Damate project provides for the launch of 10 poultry breeding sites: five for rearing birds and five for the parent herd, a feed mill with a capacity of 10 tons per hour and an elevator for 20 thousand tons of storage.

The first incubation egg is expected in the second quarter of 2023. All hatching eggs produced will be delivered to the Damate turkey production complex in Penza region.

To date, the construction of three production sites has already been completed: two sites for rearing birds in Kirsanovo and Rafailovo districts and the site for the parent herd in Krasnovo district. In November 2022, the first planting of young animals was carried out at the sites. Construction works are continuing at the remaining sites in accordance with the approved plan. The loudspeaker is scheduled to reach its full capacity in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Technological solutions of the new production complex have been worked out with the world's best genetic companies. Zoning of premises ensures compliance with the strictest biosafety standards. An important part of the project was the arrangement of modern infrastructure, including the installation of external networks and roads.

As a result of the launch of the facility, more than 200 new jobs will be created.

"The Tyumen Region occupies a serious position in the agro-industrial sector of the Urals Federal District and Russia as a whole. The region makes a great contribution to ensuring food security. The appearance of a breeding turkey reproducer is an important step towards reducing dependence on foreign suppliers. It became possible thanks to the systematic joint work of business and government. The project is large-scale and promising. I am sure that the products of the Tyumen turkey reproducer will occupy significant positions in the market and will give the agro-industrial complex of our country new opportunities for development," said Vladimir Yakushev, Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of Russia in the Urals Federal District.

"Tyumen region is interested in opening new production facilities. We create the most favorable conditions for investors. One of the main requests on their part is the availability of highly qualified personnel. In order to attract local personnel to work in a specific production, it was decided to jointly train specialists. An agreement on the formation and training of a Corporate Group was signed between our Agrarian University of the Northern Urals and the Damate company. 21 students have already been included in it and are studying now. All students will have an internship directly at the enterprise. The construction of the new complex will create at least 200 new jobs in rural areas. This is an important social effect that we get when implementing large investment projects," said Alexander Moore, Tyumen Region Governor.

"Today, together with Damate, we are not only launching new production facilities, but also recreating an entire industry in the country. Poultry farming is one of the most dynamically growing segments of the food market, which provides our population with dietary products. The project budget is 6.1 billion rubles, said Boris Listov, Chairman of the Board of the Russian Agricultural Bank. "The launch of the breeding center will help to increase the level of self-sufficiency of the country with poultry products and reduce dependence on the import of turkey genetic material. In addition, thanks to the new production, 200 new jobs will be created."

"We have been engaged in livestock breeding for several years and have already gained a wealth of experience in this direction. The breeding reproducer launched today, together with our reproducer in Rostov region for 10 million eggs per year and taking into account the partner project in Penza region for 12 million eggs per year, will allow us to get 34 million eggs, which completely covers the need for an incubation egg and reduces dependence on foreign breeding supplies," said Naum Babayev, Chairman of the Board of Directors during the opening ceremony.
